Es gibt Länder, wo was los ist.

A while back, acari (I think) posted a couple youtube clips of German political humor-cabaret (Kabarett), including Brandenburg (though a different video) (lyrics).

This video came across my facebook feed today, and the ca 10 second clip of music at the end sounded very familiar. I'd probably never have recognized it if it weren't for those clips in acari's journal.

This caffeine issue is bothersome

So, my neurologist told me back in November that there's a possibility some of my migraine symptoms are related to caffeine. (That would be the facial/sinus pressure.) I tried two months with no caffeine or once a week, and I can't say I noticed any difference in symptoms. So I decided to go back to whenever I felt like it, though not every day. I averaged every 2 days or so.

But now I'm noticing the sinus pressure again, so maybe there's something to it. Or it could be caffeine withdrawal. My goal is not to have any again until Saturday to test the hypothesis. Though maybe I could have a cup of tea now (2.5 days) and not again until Saturday (4.5 days). This is getting annoying.

I'm also not sure if the tinnitus is linked. It was louder and more annoying over the weekend.

Writing post of the day

352 words on a new scene. It needs a good bit of work, and I'm not sure I like the thing revealed in the snippet I'm posting. Blackwell needs to be a threat; this is off the top of my head.

“Another thing. The man in charge of security is named Blackwell. It sounds familiar, but I can’t place it.”

Hikaru recognized it too well. “Miss Grünewald, could you please find Mr. Winter for me?”

Metin hid his surprise quickly. After Grünewald left, he said, “I take it you know of him.”

“He’s ex-Hessian. He was kicked out for taking bribes. My uncle caught him and Grandfather signed the paperwork.”

Your thoughts? Blackwell is the mercenary commander on the other side. This makes him more likely to deduce certain things about our covert friends. The alternative I've come up with is that he and Hikaru's uncle or grandfather had some sort of combatish interaction with him, or had heard he's a particularly heartless bastard (though I kind of have that with a different bad guy, and I don't want to be repetitive.)
