We lost Claire a few weeks ago. It hurt too much to write about, so I didn't. It was very sudden; she had a blood clot, and there was nothing we could do.
My GP agrees with me that I have Raynaud's and probably some form of Ehlers-Danlos (hypermobility type).
I should be hearing back about grad school soon. Russian class is going well.

Date: 2016-03-15 06:58 pm (UTC)From:She can refer me to a guy at Duke who's an EDS expert, but since there's not any treatment except PT/strength training, there's not much point. Except confirmation that I don't have the vascular type, I suppose. I'm not a candidate for any of the SNS drugs (beta blockers, Ca-channel blockers, etc) because my blood pressure can't tolerate it. It was 92/54 in the office yesterday, whee.
And our insurance is almost certainly changing come May, when Ben's job closes. Whether we get on a new corporate plan or go on the pretty shitty Obamacare plans here (none of the BCBS ones include any of my doctors! But all the corporate ones do; the alternative is United, the HMO, which doesn't have any out-of-area coverage, and fuck that.)
