The merchant woman has a name, and she has a position in the ship. She still doesn't have a real plot, but I'm going to have to work that out sooner than later. I've gotten to the point (I think) where the secondary plots need to start existing.
There are now 25 cards on my Scrivener corkboard. This is 12 more than I began with. There's one plot point I'm not sure I'm going to keep; I'm not sure it adds anything, and the oomph it was intended to add is better done by what I have in there now. I may move it later, I'm not sure. Once I figure out Aaliyah's story (and everything that goes with that), I'll get more cards.
