Fuck off, LJ/SUP

The current proprietors of LiveJournal have pretty much admitted that they don't give even a microfuck about their long-term users.

However, longtime LiveJournal users are upset by the changes. LiveJournal recently unveiled a complete redesign that overhauled the service's comments system, emphasized social networking, and set the stage for the upcoming communities blitz. Reaction from longtime users has been overwhelmingly negative--LiveJournal patrons slammed the redesign on the service's official blog.

LiveJournal's leadership has made it clear that their future American business strategy lies in generating new traffic rather than catering to the service's current small-but-loyal membership.

The only reason I still use my LJ is because 90% of my flist refuses to leave.

Likewise. Of late, Chrome also warns me about a potential infection vector on my flist from "sweepstakesandcontestinfo.com", which I can only assume is an advert I've hidden. So there's that.

That should be taken care of. My domain was hacked a while ago, and I only now figured out where the problem was.

It's the only reason I still bother to crosspost, yep. I have at last started the process of removing anyone on my flist who also posts at DW, though! That has slimmed it down, and I've been slowly contacting those who haven't posted in a long time, too, asking if they have DW/if they ever intend to update again. (I might possibly end up just removing everyone whose purpose on the flist I cannot remember after reading their profile and top-40 tags... really, so much of my flist on LJ is from back in the HP days, and now all they ever post about is Merlin or Supernatural or other things I am not at all in the fandom of.)
