feuervogel: (writing)
Today I cut over 100 words and found some more that I'll have to cut to fix continuity. If I take them out now, the flow of the scene I have won't make any sense. But I'll be able to add some of them back in as exposition.

I read a discussion on male vs female writers and if there are differences in writing style. One person said male authors focus on the operation details, and female authors focus on the characters and their reactions. I guess I'm a male writer, then. Adding the characters' reactions in is so hard for me.

Clearly I am also a man, but I've known that for years. I guess that makes us Writer Tomboys?

Hm. I look on that the way I look at any MEN DO X, WOMEN DO Y statement. It looks like you've already proved it wrong!
