Apparently I'm good for two scenes a day, as long as they're scenes I've already edited unto death (ie, the first two.) The third scene is kind of ass, and it mocks me. Especially after I wrote a nice revisiony bit then realized, oh shit, I got them onto the shuttle, but didn't get them out of it before putting them into the starship. Fuuuuuck. delete delete delete.
Still, I got a net 128 words, which brings me to 56021 (you may notice a discrepancy here; this now includes the title page and chapter headings.)
I've decided, no matter how bloody cliche it is, that I want to include a Sun Tzu quotation (In death ground, fight) and Clausewitz (War is simply the continuation of politics by other means) either on the overleaf or as epigraphs (which I don't want to do, because that would be every damn chapter.)
Partly because Sun Tzu's inspired me (to quit my shitty job, to get off my ass on this writing thing), partly because it's rather thematic. Unfortunately, there's already a David Weber novel called In Death Ground. :P
Still no word back from K. Beginning to grow concerned.
