I've spent the last couple days working through my outline and batting ideas around to work out some of the issues I was having with the story. I've got a friend helping me out with the military aspects -- and he was actually *in* the military, so he's making very useful criticisms that other people can't. Because you never know if some mil.sf buff is going to pick it up.
I'm cutting scenes and changing POV stuff and hoping to add tension. My word count is going to sine wave the next few days.
(I really need to spend some time writing my promptfics for the LJ thing. I have 1 done out of 7 due by 11/8. Erk.)
