I had an idea for a scene while I was trying to fall asleep last night. I'm glad it stuck with me till morning.

kirinn into being an idea-bouncing-off thing, but he's not a writer, and I already tried this problem on him, and he was less than helpful.
So for now I'm going back and filling in holes while I figure out whether I need Michael as a POV character at all or if I'm just grumpy because I can't get into his head; and how to make there be more tension while they're in transit and arriving at their destination.
I think I've hit the writing stage of "this is the worst thing ever and I hate it." Though I'm a bit shy of 25k. Probably if I filled in all the details earlier on I'd be close, though... (I'm terrible about description and exposition.)
