Progress: "Blue Danube Waltz" & beta begging in advance

(working title! I hope I come up with something better by the time I finish. Also, I'm using Tarkan as the icon, because that's what one of the protagonists looks like. He's pretty.)

1517 words today for 2333 total, with a target of 25000 words and limit of 30000. Due date: August 10. That's 64 days, including revisions. Assuming I can find beta readers, I can probably do this. Especially since I only worked for a couple hours today.

The outline has 5 sections, and I'm about halfway through the first. I can send anyone who wants to beta each section when I finish it, then incorporate revisions as I go, and then when I have something close to finalized, send the whole thing. Is there anyone who can do it?

(It's space opera (gay) romance, if that matters.)

Anyway, I need to get ready to leave to see Up.

I can edit for grammar and continuity. I won't be available until Friday, but that doesn't sound like it'll be a problem.

Cool. I also need things like "describe this more" or "this doesn't fit" or "why is $Character doing that?" Because sometimes what I think is Obvious! isn't really.

Can I send you the other short story I've been working on? It's 1800-ish words (6 pages?)

I have less practice with the other stuff, so I can't promise to be much good, but I'll certainly try.

If you send what you have, I'll try to look at it on the plane ride (Thursday). I really won't be able to give it much time before that, but after is summer break and plenty of free time.

Yay, thanks! You're a reader, though, so you've probably got practice at seeing whether what the characters are doing makes sense for the character and whether event A logically leads to event B. Or at least knowing when it *doesn't* :)
