I've got a couple of these left in my pantry and one open in the fridge since ... whenever it was that I had my beer tasting party. I'm sure it's terrible and flat, but I bet it would still be OK in brownies. (I used it to make ice cream. OMG.)
The beer is brewed with a combination of black, chocolate, and roasted malts, and is in the style of an Imperial Stout, according to the label. It's 10.6% ABV, so it packs a serious punch. (Your narrator is rather buzzed at the moment.)
Unlike plain imperial stouts, this is very chocolatey. I drank it cold, because it had been in the fridge. The two that are in the pantry shall remain room temperature until I drink them. It's stouty and dark and smooth. Very drinkable.
Brooklyn Brewery makes this every winter, or so I infer from the label on the bottle I drank.
Ben tried a couple swallows of it, and he said he could almost drink it, but it would be awesome as a float. I concur that it would make a great beer float.
Thumbs up!
