If they're really going for the "fewer sales at higher price" model, I almost like the more extreme plan some studios have gone with, where they start out releasing a ridiculous collector's box set with lots of goodies for well into a three-figure price, to really milk the fans who happen to have money (but at least they're getting something special for the price), and then release a reasonably-priced thin-pack or something later. Granted, they may do the thin-pack thing for these current $70 sets in a year or two, but the $70 price point seems less useful - too high to be economical, too low to be able to include any nice merchandise incentives in the package.
