I don't know if anybody else's advice is at all useful at this point, but... If it's a choice between letting her go now and being certain that you're there with her, and potentially losing her while you're not there, it seems like it may be better to do it sooner.
I can't imagine your weekend is going to be any fun either way. But I don't know if you want to be doing the con and all the while wondering about what might be happening to her while you're away.
