I'm more convinced by who the writer is than the director. The director, like I said, can tell you what it's going to visually be like, but it gives you no ideas about the story.
Space Brothers appears to be about the actual process of becoming an astronaut, which I guess takes a really long time. *shrug* I'm not completely convinced about it, but I also don't hate it yet.
