I've been lucky enough that such things don't seem to happen to me often, but the people around me don't -- alas! -- seem to share my immunity, so I've been through it via them. (And a few times on my own, though not in the last few years.) I'm so sorry you're having to deal with this! I will never understand why some people seem incapable of letting go of that seventh-grade mindset once, y'know, seventh grade is over. *makes face* I especially hate how they drag the ones who do want it to be over and done with back into their messes... Best of luck sorting it all out, whichever way it goes.
