Moving along

I got very little accomplished yesterday. I got +400ish words I think, but I axed an entire scene, and I still need to go back and rework the one I edited the important information from the axed scene into.

Today I wrote an entire scene, about 950 words, which I have to go back and fill in gaps for and edit a bit. There's a lot of talking-head syndrome which needs correction.

I'm back above 70k again, which pleases me. I still have doubts as to the usability of this for VP, but we'll see.

I really wish I had a writing group.

If you were closer, I'd invite you to join mine! There's eight of us, though we're loosing Tim once he sells his house and completes the move to upstate New York. We all took a writing class together last year, and out of the twelve, we've stayed in touch.

So far, only Nick's gotten published with a micro submission (http://www.jeffvandermeer.com/2010/08/16/the-thackery-t-lambshead-cabinet-of-curiosities-micro-submissions/), but we're all working on it. :)

Wow, that's pretty cool. I took a writing class with some folks, but we never managed to keep anything going. The weird thing is, there's a ton of writers in my area, and I can't find a writing group. Bleh.
