You have a fairly successful women's soccer team nearby, as well as a men's club. (All we have is a middling men's second league team, and the UNC teams, though the UNC women are damn good.) The US soccer season runs approximately April-September, exactly the opposite of the rest of the world's. The MLS playoffs are happening right now.
Live soccer matches are pretty fun, actually. Someday I'll see Hertha play a live match, but it'll be a while.
