Yeah, I figured it would most likely not be an option given the distance. Even living in between and having a longish commute to Munich (which some of the locals do) seems like much more of a stretch than the two of you would want.
Agreed that it's a bummer that the nearer offices don't have the right roles. (See also why I live in Seattle rather then Cambridge at the moment.)
