What I'm up to
8 Jul 2012 11:40 amI'm letting novel 2 sit a little while. I need to read it & make notes on what needs fixing before tackling that revision stage, and I'm not feeling motivated. Maybe the end of the month?
I'm rewriting Valkyrie One in first person. So far I've just retyped it changing all the "she did" for "I did" and adding some things, but I'm going to need to do a lot of work on it. That's what I"m focusing on now, while novel 2 is cooking.
I had an idea for another short in that same 'verse, a history of the merchants' rebellion, which I briefly alluded to in I&R as Breitmann's history term paper (Abituraufsatz, Fach Geschichte). Since that's new, I don't want to chase it down the rabbit hole before getting novel 2 to a solid first draft.
I need to read up on the Thirty Years' War and Dresden, especially the Semper Oper and its history, so I can write something from a conversation on twitter ages ago.
I also need to write the classism and ableism in slow food posts.
