feuervogel: (writing)
That's because I worked in the morning so I can watch Germany take down Italy this afternoon. Sadly, my dream of seeing the 2 GQ centrebacks starting together isn't happening, because Jogi's starting Mertesacker (in crap form in his club) and Badstuber (back from injury). sigh.

Also. I got a negative net word count for the day, but overall positive. I decided to undelete a scene and fix it up to fit with the current continuity, rather than scrap it entirely. This is one reason I love Scrivener to death.

I'm back up to 72k now, with about half the novel left to revise (and to go back to the beginning and fix the intro to make sense).

Today's excerpt:
“Good. May I ask what you’re bringing in your humanitarian cargo?”

“We’re bringing food and medical supplies for the stationers.”

He smiled wryly. “Naturally. Those are the things the station most needs, not counting their freedom.”

“That’s not, strictly speaking, our business,” Hikaru said smoothly. “Officially, all we can do is state that we support the will of the people to vote in a fair election.”

“Of course.” His eyes brightened. “I’ve done what I could over the years to assist my neighbors.”
