Those of you who were at Phil's yestereve may recall I was talking about a friend of mine who didn't particularly appreciate Steven Moffat's treatment of women and an essay she wrote. Here it is.

That's a nicely complex and sophisticated take on it - particularly, I think, the contrast between theory and practice in Moffat's writing. I'm getting rather bored with the relentless Moffat-bashing of the sort that comes out on the [community profile] doctorwho community, and it's refreshing to be able to read something which looks at problematic areas without immediately stating that everyone who likes any Moffat production or prefers his take on the Doctor to RTD's is an unthinking tool of the kyriarchy.
