Some progress

I wrote three paragraphs and deleted five, for a net of -165 words. But I actually worked on The Novel, so that's a start.

I had a cup of black tea with breakfast and 2 of green with lunch, and judging from my inability to focus on anything, that may have been a mistake, since I've been mostly off caffeine since Thanksgiving. So I learned for next time.

I wish caffeine affected me like that. I have to drink two or three pots before there's much effect. :D

Heh, yep -- for me, it's, "I used to notice the effects more strongly"! :D Now that I've got a multiple-pots-per-day (on average) habit, it's like drinking water. Several of my online friends who've had to drop caffeine for whatever reason have had the same thing happen to them that you're noticing, though -- when they pick it up again, they're back to "beginner level" when it comes to the caffeine effect. :D

Yeah, works that way for most people. In college, when I was drinking soda constantly, caffeine barely affected me at all. A few years later when I cut it out 'cause I didn't need all the sugar, I lost my tolerance entirely.
