This week sucks.

My phone started being wonky, so I had to spend 2 hours on tech support yesterday dealing with people who didn't know what to do to fix it. First Samsung told me it was AT&T's problem, then I called AT&T, and they were like, "No, that's their problem," and I was like "FUCK YOU ALL DIAF." Eventually they had me hard reset my phone, so then I had to spend a couple hours redoing all my settings and customizations.

Today I cleaned the cats' water fountain. To do this, you have to unplug it from the wall. When I plugged it back in, the pump didn't start! So I waited a little, dried my hands better, made sure the plug was good and dry, made sure the connector was fully plugged in, and tried again. Nada. The cats are confused as to why their bowl isn't moving, and I hope it doesn't start to stagnate, because that's just gross.

Another fun part of yesterday: the credit card bill came. Between our pre-payment for a room at D*C next year (through a Priceline-like company), vet expenses, Isis' insulin, and paying for Ben's fillings, it's more than Ben's entire paycheck.

And my agency gal said she hasn't gotten a single shift in North Carolina since August.

The pump still doesn't work.

That sounds fishy to me. My SIL is a pharmacist who lives just over the border in SC, and she was pulled in to do some shifts in Charlotte. I think that was in September. Is your agency maybe concentrating on another state?

What make is it? Most pumps seize up if there is no water in them, if it's that sort of pump you can scoop water over it to get it going. (Which is why I ask, because rarely it'll be a dry pump and that would be very bad to pour water over.)

You should be able to find out online? Or let me know what kind it is and I'll try to help?

(Unless it's sorted itself out, which happens too.)

Ahhhhhhhhhh, and gunk, the other thing to stop a pump, didn't think of that one.

That's a good way to look at it, having a spare on hand.

Better question, is the water bowl worth it because I've been thinking of getting one as soon as finances allow.
