I don't think it's people showing up for the food so much as people show up when things are happening and they're free combined with the fact that you actually plan things well by giving enough notice for people to plan accordingly. I don't get invites to a lot of things and most of the ones I do come with either too little notice or entail traveling a few towns over on inconvenient nights. Your parties tend to be Saturday nights, which are generally best for me, so I manage to make them.

You guys are free to head out in my direction any time you're interested in getting out of the house. I know I'm a solid half hour away, but I don't mind hosting people. One of the things I've found is that my local friends have been progressively moving further west/north and my "central" location in RTP is growing less central by the year.
