It was really hard for us to make this decision when Shenny got sick so suddenly. I'm so sorry that y'all have to go through this too.
I really don't think it would be cruel or callous to euthanize her before this weekend, especially if there's the chance she might die on her own. As sad as it was to be there with Shenny, she seemed completely calm and comfortable and I was glad we could be with her as she passed, snuggling and petting her. I think I would have made the choice to do it sooner if there had been the chance that she might die without us there.
