"We don't take responsibility for ourselves and that's why the cost is so high?" There's so much wrong with that statement that it's hard to even know where to begin. Maybe total costs would be less if, you know, everybody had medical insurance.

Also, "that's what freedom is all about: taking your own risks." I think you mean that's what pushing costs onto consumers who aren't equipped to evaluate risks and even then often have no choice in which risks they are exposed to.

It's hard to see this as anything but Libertarian trolling. I mean, I would be hard pressed to tell the difference between what was actually said at the GOP debate and an Onion article, and that's really scary.
