That figure takes cloud cover into effect, and Berlin is very cloudy in winter. At Christmas 2007, sunrise was at 8 am, and it was full dark by 4. If you zoom in on this photo, you can see the clock reading 4:50. That's pm, not am.

Actually, 60 hours is an overestimate.
