More testing.

I went to my PCP today for follow-up after the hospital. I told her I'm still having issues in the morning. She's sending some blood for a celiac panel and common food allergens, and we discussed an eliminationish diet (wherein I avoid wheat/dairy/whatever for a number of days and note improvement/no change in my food and symptom diary (which she thought was a good idea, and that the GI doc would probably want to see it)).

I'm *hungry*. Tonight's dinner is probably going to be gratin potatoes, leeks, and artichoke hearts (with a massive amount of cheese; maybe I'll try confounding my experiment and take Lactaid tonight. I'd like to be well enough to go to the beach...).

Speaking of the beach, I'm going to have to take along my own food, because I don't want to experiment at restaurants.

I really hope it isn't gluten intolerance; I really like beer.

Yes, goat cheese is safe. Cheddar (all hard cheeses actually) and yogurt are also safe, because the lactose is broken down in the process of creating these foods.

Whoa... I never knew that. I used to know someone who was lactose intolerant, and they never ate cheese.
