Hey, on the Buecher auf Deutsch thing: I saw Die Magier von Montparnassus in the Leipzig train station yesterday. The cover drew my eye, then I read the flap & durchblaettered a bit, but I didn't buy it. It looked well-written and had an interesting story. It's only out in hardback right now.
