Today's progress (& yesterday's, I think)
Total word count: 13070
Distance to goal: 14.5%
I think I'm past whatever problem I was having, though I still don't know quite what to do with the section where I introduce the Donau and its crew. I'm pushing ahead, hoping I'll get a better idea as I go on. The part that was giving me trouble was the fact that I was trying to shoehorn romance in, and that just wasn't going to happen. So now it's gone away, and the story is cooperating more.
I'm getting close to the section where the action starts to happen, so that's good. I hope to be there within the next 7000 words or so.
Time for tai chi class.
