Boring y'all with my progress updates

So, I wrote the next scene, 2A, which is currently 1689 words. I got anacoluthon's feedback and went back to section 1 and edited it, for about 250 words net, which puts today's total at 1912 words. The piece as a whole is up to 6607. Only 20,000 more to go -__-

I've also been hit with a craving for Turkish coffee, thanks to the research I was doing for the scene I wrote, wherein Atesh, the mercenary, drinks some. Mmm.

One thing anacoluthon pointed out was that I'm not describing people or explaining things very well. I expected that, because I'm not very good at either thing. I've not really got good ideas of what people look like in my head. Which is why I resort to, say, pop singers as models. Also with worldbuilding explanations, I'm not very good at elaborating.

I'm awaiting shinshan's feedback as well, but she's on a plane right now. I think. Or just getting off of it, I'm not sure. It depends on when she got on the plane.

Anyway, the sky is falling and we've got a severe thunderstorm warning, so I'm getting off my computer now.
